Welcome to ‘Ivinsons’ Farm shop’ at Wetheriggs Farm home to Michael and Joanne Ivinson.

The Ivinsons are a local family to the Eden Valley, with generations living and working in the area. Michael Ivinson takes responsibility for farming the family’s 140 acres, mainly with Suffolk and Texel sheep and store cattle.

While Joanne, originally from South Yorkshire, is the driving force behind ‘Ivinsons’ Farm Shop’ having left school at 15 to study for City and Guilds in catering and after a successful career and her marriage to Michael, it was a natural decision to open ‘Ivinsons Farm Shop’ where it’s a delight not only to stop and shop, but also to have a cuppa and enjoy quality home baked snacks and meals.

The Shop sells everyday provisions including vegetables, some of which are home grown and also has high quality fresh meat. The meat is sourced locally and when possible is home reared meat from the Farm’s herds.

Second to none though, is the range of farm prepared cooked pies, casseroles, soups, chutneys, pickles and jams and the home baked ranges of cakes, biscuits and desserts. Joanne has an impressive list of clients clammering for her products and she often undertakes outside catering commissions.

The farm shop is easy to find and there is plenty of parking space. ‘Ivinsons Farm Shop’ is set amongst inspiring countryside and the ‘pet’ ducks, geese and ‘Wallace’ and ‘Gromit’ Alpacas are a delight, especially for the youngsters.
